Summer Intensive Auditions
Redding Dance Centre
has been supporting & educating dancers thru
the Summer Intensive Audition
process for over 40 years.
Many of RDC's dancers have continued to pursue dance through degree programs,
teaching and performing.
A FEW RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THOSE INTERESTED

Speak with your instructor(s) and let them know your goals so they can help you to reach them.

DO YOUR RESEARCH - Find out what is available, and what is required for the audition. ie, specific photos*, letters of recommendation, cost of class, pre-registration options.

Check what kind of housing is available for your age.

RDC also recommends that the dancer auditioning is at least 12 years of age with a minimum of 4 years dance training. We suggest to those interested in a pointe component to have a minimum of 2 years pointe training.

RDC provides a 5 week Summer Program designed to help prepare dancers for future Intensives.

Prepare your mind, presentation, work ethic and proper attire in EVERY class to be ready for the best audition you can take.
*Audition photo sessions are available by appointment during
the month of December.
